Licensed Educational Psychologists (LEPs) are certified professionals who focus on understanding and addressing the psychological and educational needs of individuals, especially within academic environments. They have expertise in various domains such as cognitive, social, emotional, and behavioral development. This expertise enables them to evaluate and support clients' strengths and areas of need. LEPs collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to design customized interventions that improve both academic performance and social-emotional development.

Parents have the option to request a free psychoeducational assessment for their child from the public school district. However, it's important to note that school-based psychoeducational evaluations primarily focus on determining eligibility for special education services and do not involve diagnosing specific learning or psychological disorders according to the DSM-5-TR. If you have questions about the differences between the assessments I provide and those conducted in a school setting, please don't hesitate to reach out. I can assist you in determining the most appropriate assessment approach for your child's needs.
